Cookie policy
Version 2026-10-v2-draft
This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies fertilize-it.be uses. It adds to our privacy policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy we call them all cookies.
Your choice
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. By default we only use necessary cookies. We only place statistics and marketing cookies after you have given your consent.
- "Accept all" and "Reject all" are equally visible.
- Nothing is pre-ticked, and you can also choose per category.
- Continuing to browse the website is not consent.
We keep your choice for 6 months; after that, we ask again. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Cookies we use
Name | Category | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |

| Necessary | Remembers the products and quantities in your cart | Local storage (Fertilize-it) | No fixed lifetime; stays until you clear your browser data |
| Necessary | Remembers your delivery country, to show the right shipping costs | Local storage (Fertilize-it) | No fixed lifetime; stays until you clear your browser data |
| Necessary | Stores your cookie choice | Cookie (Fertilize-it) | 6 months |
| Necessary | Remembers the language you chose (or your browser’s on your first visit), so the home page opens in that language | Cookie (Fertilize-it) | 1 year |
| Necessary, shop administrators only | Keeps an administrator logged in to the shop's admin area; visitors never receive it | Cookie (Fertilize-it) | Login session, at most 8 hours |
| Statistics | Google Analytics 4: distinguishes visitors | Cookie (Google) | [lifetime to be confirmed] |
| Statistics | Google Analytics 4: keeps track of your session | Cookie (Google) | [lifetime to be confirmed] |
[names to be confirmed] | Marketing | Google Ads conversion cookies: measure whether a visit through one of our Google ads leads to an order | Cookie (Google) | [lifetime to be confirmed] |
[Lawyer: the brief gives no lifetimes for the Google cookies (Google's default for _ga and _ga_<id> is up to 2 years) and does not name the Google Ads cookies. Confirm the lifetimes to configure; the table is completed when the tags are set up.]
Necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the webshop to work, for example to keep your cart and to remember your cookie choice. They do not require your consent, and we do not use them to follow you.
Statistics cookies
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use our website, so that we can improve it.
Marketing cookies
With your consent we use Google Ads conversion cookies to measure whether a visit through one of our Google ads leads to an order.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode v2, which is set to "denied" by default. Without your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads are not loaded and no statistics or marketing cookies are placed.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, including cookies that have already been placed. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the webshop, such as the cart, may no longer work.
