Royal Bercuit's fairways looked immaculate in spring, but every summer the same story returned: drought stress, thinning turf and brown patches that no amount of irrigation seemed to fix. Water bills climbed while playability dropped right in the middle of the competition season.
A soil analysis told the real story. The sandy-loam profile drained fast and held almost no potassium, so cell walls stayed soft and the grass couldn't defend itself against heat. The club was feeding nitrogen for colour, but starving the turf of what it actually needed to survive summer.
Independent ISO-17025 soil test across six zones to map pH, NPK and trace elements before touching the program.
Switched to the Pro line with high-K granular base, hardening cell walls for drought and frost resistance.
Shield + Wetting elixirs layered through summer to lock in moisture and protect under peak heat.
Six zones were sampled and mapped before a single granule went down. From April the crew ran a potassium-first Pro base every 6 weeks, layered Shield + Wetting elixirs through the July heat, and closed the year with a seaweed recovery feed. Mowing height was lifted 4 mm through summer to protect the crown.
The drought result in July was so striking that the head greenkeeper from another club came over just to measure it for himself.
